Trump says US has plenty of jet fuel for Europe, market disagrees

NEW YORK, April 1 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump this week told countries struggling to get jet ​fuel due to Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz to buy from the U.S., but analysts say there is ‌a major problem with his advice: the U.S. can't cover the global shortfall.

About half a million barrels a day of jet fuel is exported out of the Strait of Hormuz, mainly to Europe and some ​to Asia and Africa, data from vessel-tracking service Kpler shows.

Total U.S. jet fuel exports, meanwhile, averaged 219,000 bpd last year, data ​from the Energy Information Administration, the Department of Energy's statistical arm, shows.

"It is very, very, very unlikely ⁠that the U.S. can replace the Strait of Hormuz supply," Kpler analyst Matt Smith said.

1. Why does everybody in power positions always seem to forget how much the donald lies?

He’s nothing but a liar. A LIAR! Why do so many people want to take him at his word? Have they just been asleep, all this time?

Why do people keep falling for his empty promises and emptier speechifying? Cuz you can wish it as hard as you dare, but it’s NOT coming true.

2. It's apparently a form of group psychosis. My other theory...

They are also psychopaths. Psychopaths are not rational. They don't think clearly with or without other conditions like dementia and "old age," like many are claiming as legitimate excuses for his behavior.

People don't know what to think, I believe. So it's easy to shield oneself by either getting on board with the crazy or being totally apathetic.

Imo, that why it's so dangerous to "go along to get along," like many are willing to do.

I deeply feel your frustration. This whole ordeal has been a real eye opener and psychically painful in that it can damage one's soul if you let it. The stress is certainly physically damaging.
