DEARBORN, Mich. – The FBI said multiple people were arrested in Michigan after authorities thwarted a possible terrorist attack.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced the arrests on X on Friday, Oct. 31.

I used to live in Detroit. Dearborn borders Detroit and has the highest percentage of Muslims of any town in the USA I believe. I remember even going back to the Obama years there were occasional FBI arrests there.

In the south of Dearborn the signs are almost all in Arabic.

The west side of Dearborn is upper middle class and is changing although Ford Motor people dominate.

The news is saying to not worry, that we are safe. That seems too soon to say which makes me wonder why they said it. It could be a big show. Hard to know.

Video report I saw from local news said Dearborn police were not informed of these raids and had no idea they were happening. Pretty irresponsible to not a least notify local police.

9. Latest update says they were "young individuals" with a "nexus to foreign extremism."

NBC News reported that four senior law enforcement officials familiar with the case said the FBI in Detroit apprehended a group of young individuals into custody Friday morning who were plotting some form of attack with a possible reference to Halloween.

Those officials say the group has a nexus to some form of foreign extremism, but did not say if it was ISIS, Al Qaeda, or some other similar ideology. Officials stressed there is no current threat to the public.
