James Comer likely to subpoena Dem megadonor George Soros: MAGA lawmaker

Source: Raw Story

June 19, 2025 4:55PM ET

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) revealed that House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) will likely subpoena liberal billionaire George Soros at her urging.

During a Thursday interview on Newsmax, Luna said she had contacted Comer about issuing a subpoena.

"I've also talked to Chairman Comer about issuing a subpoena to George Soros, which I think he's going to," she told host Chris Salcedo.

"And then I actually just received a message today from Representative Van Drew, who's in New Jersey, that actually said on his subcommittee, which he's a chairman, they're going to explicitly be looking at George Soros' interference in our election process," she added. "So look, this is something that's been well overdue."

The Subcommittee on Oversight has jurisdiction over the responsiveness of agencies, departments, and entities to oversight requests of the Committee and any Subcommittee of the Committee and the operations of their congressional liaisons or offices of legislative affairs, with respect to the necessity or desirability of enacting, changing, or repealing any legislation within the jurisdiction of the Committee. It is chaired by Representative Jefferson Van Drew (NJ-02).

What the fuck has that to do with George Soros? It should be looking at how the current government is hiding things, stonewalling, ignoring court orders, and so on.

On the plus side, Jasmine Crockett is the ranking Democratic member, and she'll show this up for the circus that it is.

The "news outlets" INVITE people on. We can't "demand" to go on them.

Our congress people will send out press releases to them and will often have their communications people contact them to offer their availability. But since WE don't OWN ANY media (other than Soros recently buying Audacy and some liberals hosting podcasts), then it's up to the RW-owned "corporate media" to decide whether to bring us on, let alone cover us in any other capacity other than bashing.

I take it on faith that every accusation from them is a confession, hence their hands were caught in the cookie jar again and they're pointing at everyone else.
