Trump asked to read kids' book but just points at pictures

President Donald Trump appeared as the “special reader” on the latest installment of “Storytime with the Second Lady” only to go wildly off script.

Sitting in the now-heavily-gilded Oval Office, Usha Vance told her target audience of grade-school-aged children, “When we read, we grow.”

She then asked Trump what he reads for fun, and the 80-year-old president claimed he reads mostly newspapers, and mainly about one topic.

“I usually read stories about myself,” he said.

And he had a history of underlining or circling his name in all the articles and magazine spreads conspicuously displayed in his Trump Tower office.

Telling, indeed!

but if he knows that a newspaper article is about HIM, he's been known to go out of his way to read it. He did this a lot during his business years; often he would mark such articles with a marker and pass them on to other people.

Now that he is president, he probably passes that responsibility on to others. Plus his vanity does not allow him to appear before others wearing reading glasses.

He has a young blonde with daddy issues following him around, constantly printing out only good press about him on a portable printer she carries. She's called the "human printer".

Her only qualifications are she looks good on TV, and she ADORES him, to the point of infatuation. She'd even send him sickening "love" notes, according to a new book by Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan:

The ones that start out "we would start out this story with 'you won't believe what that fucking idiot did this time' but since we're talking about Trump you probably will" aren't shown to him.

That, of course, is wrong. There was no book called "Run, Spot, Run". That was a passage that appeared in the "Dick and Jane Readers". Yet again, Trump illustrating he has no idea what he is talking about.

Books published in the series
Grade 1 – Before We Read, We Look and See, We Work and Play, We Come and Go, Guess Who, Fun with Dick and Jane, Go, Go, Go, and Our New Friends
Grade 2 – Friends and Neighbors and More Friends and Neighbors
Grade 3 – Streets and Roads, More Streets and Roads, Roads to Follow, and More Roads to Follow
Transitional 3/4 – Just Imagine
Grade 4 – Times and Places
Grade 5 – Days and Deeds
Grade 6 – People and Progress
Grade 7 – Paths and Pathfinders; Parades
Grade 8 – Wonders and Workers; Panoramas
Grade 9 – Helpful in Ways
