The charge against Brad Lander was almost too small to say out loud: he sat peacefully in front of an elevator. The former NYC Comptroller had gone to 26 Federal Plaza last September to protest at an immigration court. The regime made a federal case out of it. Lander was zip-tied, arrested, and charged with obstruction.
The DOJ later offered him a plea deal. He turned it down. I want a trial, he said, vowing to keep protesting the regimes immigration crackdown.
So they put him in front of a judge, and it didnt last long. On June 11, after only one day, US Magistrate Judge Henry J. Ricardo found him not guilty, ruling the government could point to no real obstruction at all.
The regime put protest on trial and lost. Landers already vowing to be back.
