Really the only unique resource that the US had to offer was a deep market. Since the efforts of the Republicans over the last fifty years has stripped away discretionary spending from nearly the entire population, there’s no reason to even knock on the door.

Just about anything we used to get from the US can be obtained from Mexico or other countries.
