The immense sadness I feel coming back to Illinois. I flew back to the States yesterday for

some medical tests (curstey of Medicare) and to attend a graduation and my 60th. class reunion.
I started tearing up as the plane approached Bloomington. I was thinking about how TSF has destroyed my country and my plans for the twilight of my life.
I thought I would live in this town, across the street from my son and granddaughter, until the end.
I will be in the Midwest for 5 weeks. I hope I can hold in my feelings of sadness and betrayal. I would like to live long enough to celebrate you-know-who's demise.

and able to leave this progressing authoritarian and developing hell scape might just make you feel less nostalgic and regretful. Good luck on your medical tests.

The guy in the White House is only part of the problem.
Some major portion of the country seems to need to hit rock bottom.
But there is always hope of a big turning. They can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time.

I know exactly what you mean. This is not how I planned to spend my so-called "golden years" either.

Sad here as well. I refuse to spend a dime or set foot in the neighboring red states.
