I was just informed by a Verizon insider

that they are eliminating the 411 service soon and precipitously. Just letting y’all know.

I note all the reverse look-up services for unrecognized phone numbers are pretty much defunct or linking to paid search services. Crap. I used to use unidentified SKYPE to call those numbers back, but SKYPE is gone now too.
