With nearly every state gerrymandering to kick out Democrats, and

consequently, Republicans, we're going to have a balkanization of this country where it resembles two sectors akin to the North and the South during the Civil War.

paid by Blue States to Red States? Once it's in "the pot", anything goes. Matter of fact, Blue States might not see any of their contributions returned to them.

States like California or Maryland have a much higher number of wealthier taxpayers than states like Mississippi or Alabama do.

The median income in California for a two person household is $102k compared to Mississippi at $62k. Shouldn't be a surprise they pay more in federal income taxes.

How does what you say in any way gainsay the proposition that blue states subsidize the red ones.

This is not really controversial.

As for your contention that "states don't pay taxes," well, states don't. But states--not individual taxpayers--receive federal funds.

Again, not a hard concept.

As long as once they are back in power, Dems expand the court and Ram through another Voting Rights Act with teeth and penalties, as well as laws against gerrymandering that the new court majority will uphold.

And in the meantime, the Trump-induced, Republican-enabled suffering is cutting across all regional, racial and partisan boundaries, uniting, not balkanizing, the vast majority of the electorate against this administration.
