What if, just like a daily soap opera/reality show, writers are writing daily scripts for public consumption. The American public has been primed to demand drama. Whether people are for, or against, they are addicted to drama. The current administration seems to be cosplaying, acting, putting on a show. They don't have to care if the magas love it, or the woke hate it - its drama to be consumed. Distractions. Nothing happens as a consequence because we are sated with the drama of it all.
Praying solemnly for a blue tsunami in the midterms to stop this madness.

(3,373 posts)It's more like a simple logic flow diagram. Rinse and repeat. Americans are like babies that haven't developed object permanence. You don't need to be smart to fool babies.

(12,651 posts)drama has become a topic, even to the point of the administration getting ready to put on some kind of fighting event on the white house grounds.
But I get your point. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to distract the American public.

Were an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while youre studying that reality judiciously, as you will well act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and thats how things will sort out. Were historys actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.
