Laurence Gray held a federal firearms license as Grips by Larry before ATF special agents conducted a raid of his Hereford home and Sierra Vista gun store in June 2025. The company operated on Fry Blvd. as The Other Guys Guns.

Gray was initially indicted for six counts related to trafficking in firearms, straw purchasing of firearms, and making material false statement during the purchase of a firearm. This increased to nine counts in a new grand jury indictment recently unsealed.

More importantly, the superseding indictment shows Gray is now charged with one count each of Attempting to Provide Material Support to a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and Conspiracy to Provide Material Support to a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

The FTO referred to is the Jalisco New General Cartel, according to court documents.
