Some days I scan the OPs on DU and try to ponder how many ways we are fucked

The war, the environment, the economy, health care - there are ways to do things for the better. MAGA and their shit king chooses the opposite - every fucking time, every fucking issue.

It’s so bloody depressing. They seem to be making a determined effort to fuck up EVERYTHING.

But we must take mental health breaks. I love watching the gorillas at the zoo in Kyoto and watching how much they love and protect their babies, she has been carrying the little guy for almost three months without really putting him down. To see her devotion to her baby is relaxing and takes me away from that sick bastard and his minions. There is some good and beauty in the world. My plum and peach trees are blooming, I enjoy seeing them even though the tree rats eat all of the fruit.

Like all the special elections where Dems are kicking republicans asses.

Like noticing the daily failures of this administration- in court, in the court of public opinion, in their incompetence, in their inability to effectively execute their plans and in their failure to achieve their desired results.

Outside of the executive branch, they have very little actual physical control.

They are merely agents of chaos and destruction who wish they could terrify the people into placid submission, but like everything else they do, they fail miserably.

Tomorrow’s March will be just one more marker of their failure.

And the thing that really, really gets me is that there is so little blow back. He gets away with almost everything.

Edit to add: And he's a felon! The President of the US is a felon!

and there is fuck all any of us can do about it until November.

Long term, we might be able to undo some of the damage but some will be stubbornly persistent. Likely we will come out of this a different country than went into it, and I'm not convinced that's a bad thing.

are concerned, Maga, the Tea Party, white nationalist, etc have always been there. Take it back to the early 20th century, whereas 3 different presidents proposed healthcare for all but white masses didn't want black folk included, so it was nixed.

It's a shame that people just assume hurt themselves to spite others. Makes no sense.
