IL-GOV: Gov. JB Pritzker facing off against Darren Bailey once again in Illinois governor race

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- Democratic incumbent Governor JB Pritzker is facing off against Republican challenger Darren Bailey once again in the 2026 Illinois governor race in the November general election.

Bailey won the Republican nomination for Illinois governor for the second straight time Tuesday night.

Governor Pritzker and his Lt. governor Running mate Christian Mitchell are ready for November, when they will take on Bailey and his new running mate Aaron Del Mar.

Bailey says this time he will campaign differently, hot-button issues sidelined.
