Yes, Donald Trump deserves to be impeached.

But, no, the United States does not deserve to have a President JD Vance. Or a president Mike Johnson. Or a president Marco Rubio.
Trump ensured job security by padding the line of succession with people just as dishonest and incompetent as he.

All the more reason to go straight for the throat and use Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution. That way you bring down many criminals with a few rocks.

(34,791 posts)America deserves to watch the rest of them go after each other's throats, causing what's left of their shitty party to self-immolate. While they're all just as dishonest and incompetent, they are also just as power hungry--AND they all hate each other. It will be one massive, bloody bag of rats fighting with each other to be head rat.

(36,778 posts)Process: While Section 4 defines the grounds, Article I grants the House sole power to impeach (charge) and the Senate sole power to try (convict).
Outcome: Conviction requires a two-thirds vote in the Senate, resulting in removal from office.
senate sole power to convict with a 2/3 vote. those fucking republican senators? it would never happen

(2,358 posts)It's hard to imagine it was strategic given the Felon's lack of intelligence. That would require the gamesmanship knowledge and foresight of choosing the correct fodder and then convincing the Felon this would be the way to go.
Remember Vance referred to him as Hitler. I guess Rubio was acceptable after Rubio bent the knee. I get visions of James Woods character accepting the apology of his crime partner in the movie, Onion Field Killers. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor, don't look for it because it will come to mind everytime one of these sycophants shows up to kneel.

(10,518 posts)he's long been a manipulative con man and knows how to work things to his advantage. The only thing he's EVER cared about is his advantage. According to some things I've read about his early childhood, it seems he may have been born this way. He absolutely did this intentionally, leaving us with a snake pit of an administration.
