Elon Musk's brother, Kimbal Musk, said he only met disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein once and "never went to his island" after he was named in newly-released files associated with the convicted sex offender, who died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting further charges.

An email written by Kimbal Musk in October 2012 to an individual whose email address is redacted in the document was later forwarded to Jeffrey Epstein, from a redacted email address. The email discussed plans to travel to London for a November 17 birthday party, with the identity of the person celebrating also redacted. In the message, Musk wrote: “The universe is conspiring for us to spend more time together.”
