but it unfortunately does have to be done. It would be analogous to unilateral disarmament during the Cold War----a bad and foolish policy that would not have achieved world peace.

Trump and Abbott started this. They are not going to reverse course so the Democrats must respond.

Ideally there would be several dozen or well over 100 truly competitive swing districts across the country. That would be healthy for democracy, though maybe not for partisan Democrats and Republicans. But make no mistake about it, I fully favor the Democrats leveling the playing field if that is what has to be done.
