This is why we are in very rough waters:

ICE was formed in 2003. Less than 25 years ago. It has never legally been tested. It’s like we just woke up today and realized it had turned into a behemoth. And it’s because this Administration is using it to overstep the intent of the Constitution and our efforts are being complicated by a right-wing leaning Supreme Court,

Make no mistake, if we had a liberal Court we wouldn’t be where we are today. Trump’s overreaches would have been curtailed before he went after properly documented citizens. And ICE would have been required to act within humane boundaries. Not to mention, that the round-up of undocumented immigrants would have required Due Process and racial profiling would never be allowed.

In sum, what we have is a battle of ideals, principles and integrity. It’s a battle we were all born to fight as Americans that believe in the Constitution. It won’t be pretty, but it was inevitable.

...the racial/language/location/work profiling is on hold in the LA area for now, which is a good start. Not enough, but a start.
