Nebraska Rep. Don Bacon to host telephone town hall (Blue Dot)

Rep. Don Bacon will hold a telephone town hall with residents of Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District July 21 at 6:30 p.m.

The event will also stream over audio online. Residents who want to attend can register at bacon.house.gov/live. They may also call in the evening of July 21 to 855-962-1225.

"Due to the number of constituents wishing to participate, we have decided to utilize a tele-town hall format," the invitation to the event states. "Tele-town halls allow us to reach thousands of constituents versus an in-person town hall which is limited to the venue size, typically a couple hundred. Our most recent tele-town halls hosted approximately 17,000 constituents, and more constituents have had their questions answered."

Bacon has been in the news frequently the past month. He recently announced he will not seek another term in office. He also spoke in favor of the polarizing Big Beautiful Bill and joined the rest of Nebraska's federal delegation in voting for it.

Both Cook Political Report and Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball, two of the leading election forecast publications, have upgraded their ratings for Nebraska’s 2nd District from toss-up to leans Democratic.
