Andy Kim wants everyone to call their reps

He was practically begging viewers to do so this morning on MSNBC. He still thinks there's a chance, but he looked very grim and serious.

If you like and admire Kim as much as I do, and love our country as much as I do, please heed his demand. Call your rep, especially if they are R's. I called mine (both D's) to encourage and thank them.

I will always remember how Andy Kim stayed behind to clean up after the Jan. 6 rioters. He is the exact opposite of trump.

It's a great idea to call/write one's elected representatives to voice opinions on legislation. I do it all the time. sop Jun 29 #2

They've probably added my name to the list of "dissidents" they'll come for first when this proto-dictatorship turns sop Jun 29 #5

The Congress reports to the big money donors. Little people, like us, the poor and middle class - we can’t afford to donate Aircraft, hundred thousand dollar dinners or even pay for ten-thousand dollar shake my hand.

We’re priced out and unfortunately some of us are too stupid to vote in our own self interest, we’re too busy hating someone(s) because of the color of their skin, who they love, who they worship and what they believe.

but I try not to succumb to cynicism because that's what they want us to do! And I'm stubborn! But seriously, I really believe that if reps got millions of calls (and there are millions who hate this bill) it would make a difference.

My three representatives (two Republican senators and one Republican congressperson) apparently don't care what I think. The kids (they sound like young interns) answering the phones in their offices listen, thank me for my thoughts then hang up. They respond to my letters and emails by simply adding me to their mailing lists; I receive a lot of Republican campaign literature and constituent mailings. Nothing I say or write seems to sway my three elected representatives, they always vote lockstep with their party leadership.
