Wasn't there something else in the last few years where they threw a bunch of graft to Alaska and Lisa caved? Pretty sure this a repeat MO for her.

She did say there would be circumstances if the Democrats took the Senate in 2026 she may consider caucusing with Dems if it was good for Alaska. Kinda like she did for Republicans on this Big Butt-Ugly Bill.

8. That was a typical DU 'fake news via dodgy tweet' OP that, as is dismayingly far too common here now, gaslit quite a few

DU is being overrun with misinformation/disinformation that far too often takes hold due a lack of discernment and due diligence from far too many.

People see a claim, that claim comports with their preexisting stances, bias, and desires, and thus they far too often do not put in the work to verify the claim.

The entire thing is made worse by bad faith OPs who refuse to pull down thoroughly debunked misinformation/disinformation.

AI has only made the entire negative feedback loop worse.

It has sadly reached a point where I have stopped recommending DU to people (after nearly 7 years of doing so) as it is no longer a place to be very certain of getting factual, valid information.

Another pol we’d never know of if their mom, dad, husband, wife, brother, or etc hadnt set them up for their seat. Unfortunately, Republicans do well keeping their troops in line when it counts.

(or go independent) she make it clear it was for the benefit of Alaska not over the larger national moral crisis.
I thought then her motives were shallow.

Now I think it was more than that. She was fishing for pork, realizing the current situation gave her a lot of leverage.
She is the new Manchin after all. Certainly she's no Cheney.
