I have never found "others have worse problems" to offer any comfort. You are in pain, your car died, and your dream is fading. My guess is that you have had worse weeks in your life and you pushed through with determination, grit, gumption, or just got lucky. I have had worse weeks and I'm still standing, mostly by luck I think. I am really hoping that things turn around soon for you.
