5. The county prosecutor had implemented a policy

That was lenient for some firearms charges. She resigned at the end of last year. Not sure if the policies are still in place or how expansive they were. I texted a friend who works for a neighboring county sheriff. She said it was pretty well known that Ingham County was hesitant on filing gun charges unless they were used in commission of a violent crime.
