This is definitely cruel and unusual punishment.
I didn’t grow up in Florida but I did grow up on the Virgina peninsula/Tidewater. Brutally hot and humid. We had “Mosquito Man” who drove around in a little F150 with giant liquid tanks in the back spraying for mosquitoes. Somebody would yell MOSQUITO MAN and we’d all run into one oh our houses for about 100 minutes. Thomas Jefferson called Williamsburg “Devil’s burg”. It’s surrounded by marshes. It’s not surprising they barely made in in Jamestown.

I can’t imagine being on a runway in the Everglades.
