NHL Eastern Conference race super close

While it's way too early, I don't think the old view that if you were in a playoff spot by Thanksgiving you are most likely in holds this season. 7 points from wildcard to last in the conference right now:

I think the Western Conference has the more exciting, up-and-coming teams though. Other than the Canadiens, who have some really strong young talent.

The Mammoth and Clayton Keller are on now, yes.

Bedard and Company are also starting to come up.

The Ducks with Carlsson, Gauthier, Sennecke and McTavish! For that matter, you could throw Jackson Lacombe and Lukas Dostal in there.

Anaheim is filled to the brim with incredible young stars-in-the-making.

I'm simultaneously sad and happy for Kreider in his reinvigorated season with the Ducks
